Welcome to the Biomedical Microengineering Group (BMG)

Introduction News
The Biomedical Microengineering Group is an interdisciplinary research group focusing on applying engineering principles to the challenges of understanding biology, creating new technology to manipulate and understand micro-organisms.
  • Dr. Shu presented "Organ Printing from Stem Cells" to University court members and won a poster award.
  • Wenxing "Issac" Wang successfully passed his PhD viva.
  • Alan Faulkner-Jones delivered an invited talk at Eindhoven University of Technology.

Our research interests include MEMS-based Biosensors, Lab-on-a-chip Systems and Biofabrication, we develop innovative micro and nanotechnologies for point of care diagnostics, quantitative biology, synthetic biology and personalised medicine.
