Paul is a PhD student currently part of Dr Shu's research group. Paul completed his undergraduate honours degree in Robotics and Cybertronics at Heriot Watt University before being offered a summer placement at Institut Mihajlo Pupin in Belgrade, Serbia, working on a government funded robotics project. Upon completion of his placement, Paul returned to a 9 month term Research Associate post at Heriot-Watt, working under Dr. Shu on a microfluidic 'smart' label. Paul began his PhD project on March 2012 and is currently developing a dynamic sensor capable of probing human tissue in vivo to help detect the presence of cancer.
